Agenda for VSFSI Meeting

  1. Status Update – Officer positions filled, still need division reps, web site up and running (needs to be renewed ASAP), plans for electronic news letter (mass email) coming soon, still growing membership, box of old VSFSI paper work being reviewed and archived.
  2. State Corporation Commission Update – IRS Tax ID number (W-9) obtained, currently working on tax exempt status, & checking account.
  3. Funds – Currently have about $200 +/-, will receive funds from Instructor college
  4.  Annual dues are now due, still $20, pay and get your VSFSI belt buckle (2006 members also get a buckle.) Send checks to Sec/Trs Paul Hoyle

  1. Constitution & By-laws review and vote by current members only – Most recent const & bylaws were from about 1980. Only current members may vote.
  2. New Executive Officer additions – Welcome Mike Glass – Salem Fire-EMS to VSFSI Vice President. VA Fire Services Board Seat – Tommy Fuqua
  3. Planning for the 2008 fiscal event. Any ideas…? Instructor Conference/Seminar/Guest Speaker/Lecturer?
  4. Next Scheduled Meeting - will be at the Feb VA Beach Chiefs Conference, date and time TBA check the VSFSI web site
